Sequoyah Remembrance Day
The Museum will observe Sequoyah Remembrance Day on Sunday, Aug.3, 12-5 p.m. with free admission to the Museum. Sequoyah Remembrance Day is celebrated the first Sunday of August every year.
The Museum will have Cherokee artisans on hand to demonstrate their skills and art.
This is a day to remember the man, Sequoyah, who gave the Cherokee people their own written language.
